Converge 2024, Brighton UK
Featuring the best design systems speakers from around the world
(more speakers to be announced)
If you’ve ever felt like you’re swimming against the current of your organization, this workshop is for you.
Design systems are much more than tokens, components and code libraries. While the technical and creative assets are essential, there’s an often overlooked force that shapes their success: culture.
Whether it’s the culture of your broader organization or the subculture within your design system team, the relationship between the two has a direct impact on how your system is built, adopted, and sustained. When these cultural forces are misaligned, even the most well-crafted systems struggle to gain traction.
This full-day workshop will pull back the curtain on how culture impacts a design system program, and give you the tools to assess and adapt your approach accordingly.
All talks at Converge this year will be around one of three design system themes…
We’re at a turning point in design systems... After the explosion of interest in the mid to late 2010s, and further maturation since 2020, now is the time to sit down and think about what the future of design systems hold for us. Are we going to continue how we have been? Do we need overhaul what design systems need? Are we serving the original goals we set out to achieve?
Tooling for design system has exploded in the last five years, with DS managers, standalone tools and homebuilt projects, what are the best tools for what we do in 2025? What are we missing? And are we approaching tooling in the right way?
After a tumultuous few years, proving the value of your design system has become a key concern for most teams. How do we sell the value of what we do to the people that matter, so that we can keep moving forward with the Good Fight of getting design system buy-in in our companies?

“The atmosphere was very friendly, welcoming, and kind. I wasn’t sure whether it would be salesy because it was put on by a company, but it wasn’t at all.”
“One of my favorite things about Converge was how cozy and intimate the event felt. It wasn’t overcrowded, which I really appreciated… I especially loved how approachable and open the speakers were throughout the two days—it made for some really engaging conversations.”
“…the speakers were incredible. I learned a shit-ton of things about design systems, accessibility, and all their surrounding elements. Usually in conferences, you get the 'Whoa!' feeling from a couple of talks. In Converge, it was the other way around.”
